New Art Work 05/14

// May 1st, 2014 // No Comments » // 3D Art, Matte Paintings

My new art work – a matte painting! It took many worth full  hours at home after a busy day at office to do this. It involved a lot of modeling work and hence took a long time to finish.  The two main Characters were downloaded from free online library, Thanks to Turbosquid.com.

I did environment modeling, complete scene lighting, matte painting and compositing.

Below is the image showing the various render passes used to composite this image.

My recent work was featured in our school’s blog. The post is titled as “VFX Reels with Flair”. Posted by Darron. Here is an excerpt from it. Hope you’ll enjoy reading.

“Recent Media Design School Diploma of Visual Effects and Motion Graphics graduates Ravi Parthasarathy and Pavan Veeramaneni have focussed on showcasing their skills as budding compositers and VFX artists in their show reels.

Pavan’s reel (see above) features some top notch matte painting, rotoscoping, blue screen and compositing, and Ravi’s (see below) displays his adroit skill as a compositer in the making. Both reels feature the respective artists familiarity and skill with Adobe Photoshop (for Matte Painting) and Autodesk Combustion for compositing.”
